Exhibitions / Plot, Point, Place

16.06.2006 to 23.07.2006

Drawing to de(cipher). Drawing is as much an action as it is a thinking process. Plot, Point, Place is an installation work which thinks about drawing as a means to communicate and to understand. Understanding and communication both in the act of doing as in the act of viewing. Recognised conventional languages such as patterns, symbols and letters are posed as 'drawings', their connection and relevance lies in drawing, the physical act of the hand making mark. Letters, symbols and patterns in isolation are simply marks on the surface, it is their collective identity as 'known' languages which form possible narratives and deeper meaning.
