In 2009 I was invited back to my childhood home of Kangaroo Island to lead a weekend drawing workshop with a local art group. Participants (many of whom had known me since days in nappies) were lead through a range of exercises expanding and exploring their own drawing language. From drawing on site and then back in the studio participants had the opportunity to try out new media, working at a large scale and identifying their own meaningful ways of communicating ideas about landscape and place.
